Fishing for steelhead continues to be productive. With snowy and cold conditions winter steelhead has arrived. We now are going to start watching the coastal river conditions, and fish favorable water levers and clarity there for chrome giants. Steelhead in Full Swing!
The cold shorter days bring the feel of fall as the fish migrate up the rivers.
The Klamath river above the mud line is fishing excellent! We are having multiple hook up days in fun, jumping Klamath steelhead, and a occasional salmon still.
The trinity river is at its winter flow 300 cfs so you have to use stealth fishing tactics, but can still find some crome.
The Sacramento River continues to produce slab rainbows along with a steelhead. The egg bite is getting better and better as November nears.

Salmon, trout and steelhead continue to be good on the Sacramento, trinity and Klamath rivers. The steelhead fishing should only get better as fall gets closer. August Fishing Report
Trinity River continues to produce nice salmon. The water is warming, so the fish are moving fast up river too cooler conditions.
On the lower Sacramento River in Redding the section from hwy 44 to the Kezwick dam just opened back up. As expected we are catching some massive rainbows that fight like hell!
We still have a few openings so call for a trip!

As the heat appears, so do the springer salmon. Season on the trinity river opens July 1st. Word is, and reports from the fish and wildlife biologists are that there are big one’s arriving! With good counts coming through the junction city weir already, should be a good year.
Trout fishing continues to stay good on the lower Sacramento River in Redding, plus all the other creeks, streams, and lakes in the surrounding area.
The mornings, especially the evenings, fish very well. If you're looking to beat the heat, half day sessions on the lower Sacramento River are a great way to get in the water!

Spring 2022 Fishing Report
Fishing this spring has been good! Great numbers, and good size fish. All the streams are in perfect shape for now, pretty soon they could be low and warm. The lower Sacramento river will have a low flow year but will supply cold water still. Salmon season on the Trinity river is right around the corner starting July 1st, big size springers are already entering the system.
Last this is when the salmon fly hatch starts on the upper Klamath river, it only last for a couple weeks but can be very fun.
